Height ranges are approximate and overlap between sizes. If you're between sizes, choose the smaller one for a more upright position and easier handling around town, or the larger one for more room and stability on longer rides. The Orbea Muga is a full-suspension electric commuter bike for Canadians whose daily ride includes potholes, gravel paths and the odd stretch of trail. It pairs a 120 mm front fork and 115 mm of rear suspension with a 29" front wheel, a 27.5" rear wheel and wide 2.35" Schwalbe tires, so broken pavement, frost heaves and rail trails feel smooth instead of tiring. Power comes from the Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 5 motor with up to 120 Nm of torque and up to 600% pedal assist, fed by a removable Bosch PowerTube battery. Pedal assist runs up to 32 km/h, the complete Bosch system is certified to the UL 2849 safety standard for e-bikes, and Orbea backs the frame with a lifetime warranty.

Unlike most full-suspension e-bikes, the Muga arrives ready for real life. Every model comes with an Orbea RR-02 rear rack rated for 30 kg and compatible with MIK HD, MIK Side and Ortlieb QL3.1 bags, full-coverage Curana fenders, an integrated kickstand, a Supernova Starstream headlight, an integrated front position light and a Supernova rear light with a brake light. An SP Connect phone mount, a dropper seatpost, an ergonomic Selle Royal Vivo saddle and VP-892 pedals with reflectors are included too. The upright Orbea Urban handlebar keeps you comfortable and visible in traffic, and an adjustable cockpit lets you fine-tune your reach and bar height.

Orbea built the Muga around a hydroformed 6061 alloy frame with a semi-hidden, protected FOX Float Performance rear shock tuned specifically for this bike. The shock's two-position lever lets you firm it up for smooth roads or open it up for rough ground. The Secure Battery System holds the PowerTube low in the down tube for stable handling, and the battery is removable so you can charge it indoors. Both models come with Bosch's 4A charger. The Muga comes in four sizes for riders from about 153 to 206 cm (5'0" to 6'9").

Orbea Muga 20: the all-weather, do-everything commuter. The Muga 20 adds the parts that make the biggest difference on long, varied rides: a 750 Wh battery for about 158 km per charge, a FOX 34 Float fork, tubeless-ready Schwalbe Johnny Watts Hybrid Radial tires and a Shimano CUES Di2 11-speed electronic drivetrain. You can let Di2 shift for you automatically or shift manually at the push of a button, and its 11-45t cassette covers steep hills and fast flats. It weighs about 28.24 kg (62.3 lbs), depending on size.

Orbea Muga 30: full-suspension comfort at a lower price. The Muga 30 shares the Muga 20's frame, motor, rear shock, lights, rack and fenders, with a 600 Wh battery for about 125 km per charge, an SR Suntour Mobie34 Air fork, Schwalbe Johnny Watts tires and a mechanical Shimano CUES 11-speed drivetrain with a wide 11-50t cassette. At about 26.3 kg (58.0 lbs), it's the lighter of the two, and you can order it with the 750 Wh battery if you want more range.

Its sensors read your pedalling quickly and precisely, so assistance builds smoothly when you start off at a light, climb a steep hill or carry groceries on the rack. Pedal assist runs up to 32 km/h, the Canadian limit.

Bosch's eBike Flow app lets you fine-tune each riding mode and connect your rides to apps like Strava. Useful features include Hill Start for starting off on steep slopes, Free Shift for changing gear without pedalling and eBike Lock, which uses your phone as a digital key for the motor. Bosch's network of certified service centres across Canada means expert support wherever you ride.

The Bosch System Controller is built into the Muga's top tube, where it's protected and out of the way.
