If you want to ride your bicycle in winter then the Schwalbe Marathon Winter Plus tire is the way to go. These Kevlar-reinforced tires provide superior traction and durability compared to the competition. These tires offer the best traction on icy roads and pathways ensuring you have maximum control of your bicycle whether you are on the flats or turning on steep corners.
On icy days or conditions simply lower the pressure of the tires to the minimum to allow the studs to grip the ice with ease. For those dry surface rides simply increase the pressure of the tires to reduce noise and rolling resistance.
Each Schwalbe Marathon Winter Tire has the highest level of Smartguard reinforcement to virtually eliminate punctures, as well as a high visibility reflective sidewall for maximum visibility when riding at night. Available in multiple diameters and widths to fit your bicycle.

After first snowy/icy days Im very happy that I now have the Schwalbe winter tires instead of my standard tires (Marathon e plus ?) used last year during winter. More grip, a lot less skidding. A very noticeable improvement in handling of the bike on ice and snow. A worry I had was how they would perform without snow/ice: for riding nothing negative, no noticeable difference in resistance. I do have a subjective impression that they are not really ideal tires in mud. Noise: yes you can hear a low level of rattling when the metal spikes hit clear asphalt/concrete. But its only slightly louder as when driving through leaves or compressing snow under tires. And as soon as there is car noise around you, you no longer hear it. I did notice that the spikes can leave (small) marks on concrete if you need to drag the wheels (sideways parking). One word of warning: they do not make you a cycling superman on ice ! You can still slip and glide, especially sideways in thicker snow that is only partial compacted along the car tire tracks. So cycling on snow and ice still requires you to be extra careful and drive with extra attention. Last part of review: Scooteretti did also mount them for me via a service appointment, very helpful if, like me, you do not have the space to work on your bike.

Ce magasin métait inconnu jusquà ce que je décide dacheter des pneus dhiver Schwalbe! La livraison a été très rapide. Même que, ayant fait un erreur dans ma propre commande, jai dû recommander et jai reçu les nouveaux pneus avant même que le magasin reçoive les pneus retournés!! Javoue que cest rapide. Le produit est formidable, je roule dehors depuis novembre avec les pneus Schwalbe Marathon Winter plus et je me sens en confiance. Il faut rouler un bon 40 km avec le moins de pression possible au début (à ne pas oublier). Et ça fonctionne! Les pneus ont une traction formidable et la glace ne me fait plus peur. I have recently bought the Schwalbe winter tires and just got them installed. I havent had a chance to try then out yet but I am very happy with the customer service. I was able to purchase the tires by paying online ahead, let them wait in the store, and have then put on once the weather conditions were suitable. I also received some winter advice for bike maintenance. Always happy with services at Scooteretti.
