Riese & Müller Superdelite5 (2027): The Full-Suspension Touring eBike Built for Big Days
The Superdelite5 is Riese & Müller's answer to the rider who wants one e-bike to do everything: long commutes, loaded touring, gravel roads and rough trails. For 2027 it arrives fully equipped with a 1,200 Wh Bosch DualBattery, full suspension, front and rear carriers, a dropper seatpost and a high-beam headlight with an integrated brake light. Whether your ride is a long day on Prairie gravel or a loaded weekend in the Rockies, it is ready straight out of the box.
Two Batteries, Far Fewer Charging Stops
A Bosch PowerTube 800 and a Bosch CompactTube 400 are integrated into the frame for a combined 1,200 Wh. That is enough capacity for serious touring distances, and in everyday commuting it means charging a couple of times a week instead of every night. Power comes from the Bosch Performance Line CX on the Bosch Smart System, paired with the Kiox 500 display and Purion 200, so steep climbs, strong headwinds and a full load of gear all feel manageable.
Control Technology: Real Comfort on Real Canadian Roads
Riese & Müller Control Technology pairs a Fox 34 air fork (120 mm) with a Fox Float Rhythm rear shock (110 mm), and the luggage carriers are co-sprung, so your cargo is suspended right along with you. On frost-heaved pavement, washboard gravel and rooty trails, that means better traction, less fatigue and more stable handling. The X-Fusion Manic dropper post (125 mm of travel, 100 mm on the M frame) drops the saddle at the push of a lever for technical descents and easy stops, while 62 mm Schwalbe Super Moto-X tires roll quickly on pavement and grip on loose surfaces.
Choose Your Drivetrain: Vario or Rohloff
Both 2027 versions run a Gates CDX carbon belt drive, so there is no chain to oil, stretch or rust through a season of road salt.
Superdelite5 Vario: Enviolo continuously variable hub gearing. There are no fixed steps, so you simply twist to the cadence that feels right, even while stopped at a light.
Superdelite5 Rohloff: The Rohloff E-14 Speedhub with electronic shifting gives you 14 evenly spaced gears for a wide range on long climbs and fast flats. It is also the lighter of the two, starting at 34.3 kg versus 35.2 kg for the Vario.
Built to Last, Built to Carry
The frame is made from almost 40% recycled aluminum and is manufactured in Portugal. A cover shields the motor and rear shock from spray and grit, and a frame lock sits discreetly on the rear stay for quick stops. With a 160 kg gross vehicle weight rating, a 27 kg rear carrier rating, child seat compatibility on the carrier and support for two-wheel trailers, it hauls far more than a typical trail e-bike. Optional Bosch eBike ABS adds another layer of control when braking hard on wet or loose surfaces. The Superdelite5 comes in Moss or Shadow and in three frame sizes (M, L and XL).
