The 2027 Orbea Diem is a lightweight electric city bike for Canadians who want a fast, comfortable and low-maintenance daily commuter. Every Diem shares the same base: a hydroformed alloy frame with Orbea's patented Diamond Glide rear triangle, a full carbon fork, the Shimano EP6 (EP600) mid-drive motor with 85 Nm of torque, a battery integrated into the frame and pedal assist up to 32 km/h. Wide 700x50c Schwalbe Marathon tires, the flex built into the Diamond Glide design and the carbon fork soak up potholes, curbs and frost heaves without the weight of a suspension fork. The complete electrical system is certified to the UL 2849 safety standard for e-bikes, and Orbea backs the frame with a lifetime warranty. Every Diem we sell is a brand-new 2027 model with the full Orbea warranty, not leftover stock from a previous model year.

The Diem is built for real everyday riding. Every model comes with an Orbea RR-01 rear rack rated for 20 kg and compatible with MIK, MIK Side and Ortlieb QL3.1 bags, full-coverage Curana fenders, a kickstand built into the frame, a Supernova Starstream Pro headlight, an Orbea front position light integrated into the handlebar and a rear light built into the fender with a brake alert. An SP Connect phone mount, a USB-C port for charging your phone, a bell and VP-836 pedals are included too. Orbea's Spin Block keeps the handlebar from swinging around when the bike is parked, so it stays steady on its kickstand while you load groceries.

Shimano's EP6 motor reads how hard you pedal and adds smooth, natural power, so starts at red lights, headwinds and hills take far less effort. The 630 Wh battery on the Diem 10 and 20 averages about 135 km per charge, and the 540 Wh battery on the Diem 30 averages about 114 km. The battery is sealed inside the frame for protection from rain, slush and road salt, and you charge it right on the bike through the charging port. The Diem comes in four sizes for riders from about 153 to 204 cm and weighs about 23.0 to 25.5 kg, depending on model and size.

Orbea Diem 10: the fully automatic, low-maintenance commuter. The Diem 10 pairs a clean, quiet Gates CDX carbon belt with an Enviolo Automatiq hub that shifts automatically and continuously, with no gears to think about at all. It adds four-piston Shimano MT420 brakes, a DP01 suspension seatpost with 30 mm of travel that also drops at the push of a button so you can put your feet down at stops, a Shimano EN600 colour display with a separate remote, a high-beam Starstream Pro headlight and an RF-01 front carrier with an aluminium basket and net.

Orbea Diem 20: belt drive with five electronic gears. The Diem 20 also uses a Gates CDX belt, paired with a Shimano Nexus Inter-5E Di2 internal hub that shifts electronically at the push of a button and can change gears while you're stopped. A belt and an internal hub mean no chain to clean or oil and almost nothing to adjust, which makes it a great choice for year-round commuting. It has Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, the 630 Wh battery and the Shimano EN500 display.

Orbea Diem 30: the lightest, most affordable Diem. The Diem 30 keeps the same frame, carbon fork, motor and equipment with a Shimano CUES 9-speed chain drive and a wide 11-46t cassette, a 540 Wh battery, Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes and the Shimano EN500 display. Its standard chain parts can be serviced at almost any bike shop in Canada, and you can order it with the 630 Wh battery if you want more range.
