Why is there a UL safety standard for eBike systems?
▶ The battery, charger, drive unit and display make a complex electrical system. Therefore a standard has been developed to test for electrical and fire safety: UL 2849. This gives consumers the confidence that their product is safe.
▶ It is important that the entire eBike system is certified and not just the battery. When factoring safety in your purchasing decision ask for confirmation that the complete system is certified to UL 2849. A Certification logo for our complete eBike Systems can be found on our battery packs.

One year ago to the day from when my wife took a cyling ending fall from her ebike we received our Moustache Samedi tandem from Scooteretti. I was actually shocked when my wife agreed to try cycling again at all! Were both 70 and Ive been mtbiking for 31 years now. I still ride an emtb almost daily in the woods. She missed our rail-trail rides and the time we spent together on the bikes. She felt she would be safe and secure behind me and that the event that caused her to fall would not have happen with me at the controls. We finally received our bike and got out on our 20 mile maiden voyage on one of our favorite rail-trails in Southern Virginia. We both absolutely had a blast and cant wait to get out on the bike again! I cant say enough about the great people at Scooteretti. They helped us navigate through the purchase and import process with great expertise. The bike arrived mostly built and as a guy whos wrenched on my own bikes for years, I was very impressed! The bike was very well packaged and the guys in the shop even left hand written notes and instructions that would make the setup a breeze for even a novice bike mechanic. Other than to set the handlebar controls to my personal preferences, I didnt touch a thing! The shifting was spot on, brakes were properly aligned with no drag and knowing where the bike came from I had to giggle when I found the electronics were already set to imperial readings and the clock was even set for our time zone! We finally received our long awaited Tandem (the factory in France was almost 3 months late in delivery). The folks at Scooteretti, Dan and Crystal were very helpful and professional. We’ve been out twice so far, and are really enjoying the tandem. It rides extremely well and the motor is very responsive, with more than adequate power. The two batteries provide for quite a long range. The bike is very well built and attractive. We’re very happy with this purchase so far.

We picked up our Samedi 27 X2 TRK Moustache tandem 4 days ago at Scooteretti in Ottawa. The staff was awesome and we had a thorough explanation of the workings of the bike. Had you asked us 2 years ago about any e-bike we might laughed at the idea because “it’s not a real bike”. I humbly admit how wrong we were. We have ridden tandem bikes - (mountain, road and fatbikes) - for over 3 decades. Friends got an e-tandem, built by a talented mechanic, a few years back, therefore it was always in the back of my mind. After spending months of research I thought why not take the plunge- kind of like a COVID relief package!
Arriving at Scooteretti dressed to ride Logan put on our Ortlieb panniers, changed out our pedals and we headed from the shop over to Gatineau Park. Awesome fall colours, great sunshine and lots of cyclists out.
We got stopped by a avid 3 decade+ road cyclist on an e-gravel bike. He was picking up the identical tandem the following week in Montreal, Quebec. He gave us tips on riding an e-bike and we were off again.
We could summarize our 3+ hour ride as “it here is immense joy and we can’t wipe the smiles off our faces”. This is one well-designed tandem and I can say that with confidence because we currently own 5 high-end road and off-road tandems.
In summary I couldn’t recommend this tandem more highly. If you want to buy an e-bike seriously consider the shop in Ottawa with the greatest e-bike knowledge in Canada

Hi, Im very happy with my new tandem and I had a good service from Crystal in Ottawa but my proof of purchase is a collection of emails and credit card receipts. For my file I need a full invoice with my name, date of purchase,
model, serial number ,order number, full amount ant the mention paid. It is an expensive equipment, a real invoice is needed.
