Review by John B. on 17 Dec 2022review stating The bike is brilliant!
Until I took my 1st ride, I thought my Haibike e-assist Fat 6.0, which I purchased through Scooteretti 5 years ago, was pretty special, the Moustache Fat4, with the Bosch motor, has it beat hands down. I am not going to say the fit and finish is better than the Haibike, because they about the same high quality in that regard, but the Moustache has a more comfortable riding geometry and the Bosch motor, in my opinion is the best in the industry. I think I can say that as I have put over 3,000km on the Haibike Yamaha motor and over 12,000km on 2 different Shamino branded motors. None have presented me with any issues, but the Bosch motor is definitely quieter, has a better display controller and the e-Mtb assist level is both intuitive and incredible! The Moustache is also lighter and more agile than the Haibike. For the price, the specs are pretty good. I certainly appreciate the dropper seat post and I absolutely love the colour as do my riding buddies. Overall it is probably a 4 Star bike, but I have it 5 Stars because I absolutely love the motor, the colour and the handling. The two things I did swap out right away, were the peddles and the tires. The peddles, because I wanted more aggressive pins for winter boot security as I ride flats and studded tires, because I wanted the best traction I could get for those steep climbs and icy lake travel. Overall, a brilliant winter Fat Tire bike that could certainly be ridden year round thanks to a decent front fork with just enough travel to smooth out off winter Mtb trails!
