That's the real pitch behind the Granville e-Terra N2 Wave's step-through "Wave" frame: no swinging a leg over a top tube in work clothes, no awkward wobble getting on in a skirt, no dismount drama at every red light. This isn't a mountain bike that happened to get a battery bolted on. It's a purpose-built electric commuter, designed from the frame up for everyday riding.
Under the hood is Bosch's Performance Line motor, part of the Smart System lineup, delivering 75Nm of torque through a 625Wh PowerTube battery tucked neatly into the downtube. In practice, that means pulling away from a stop with real confidence, even with cargo on the rack, and holding your pace up a grade without standing on the pedals. It's also one of Bosch's larger-capacity batteries, so daily riders aren't nervously eyeing the battery icon on the way home.
Skip the chain, and skip the grease stains on your pant leg. The e-Terra N2 Wave runs a Gates Carbon Drive belt paired with a Shimano Nexus 5-speed internal-gear hub. Nothing here needs lubricating, nothing rusts, and nothing is exposed to fling road salt and winter slush at you the way an open chain and derailleur do. That's less time tuning a drivetrain and more time just riding it, especially through a Canadian winter.
It shows up ready to ride, not ready to be accessorized. Integrated front and rear lights, full fenders, a MIK-compatible rear rack, and an AXA Imenso frame lock that shares one key with the Bosch battery all come standard. Hydraulic disc brakes take care of stopping power in any weather, and because it runs on Bosch's Smart System, you're backed by a certified service network well beyond wherever you happened to buy it.
