The Gates Carbon Drive system eliminates the need for lubricating a traditional bicycle chain, last 6-10 times longer, and is ultra-quiet and smooth. Combine this with the revolutionary Enviolo 380 system, which allows you to change the gear ratio between your pedals and rear wheel in one continuous motion. Just twist the shifter slightly on the handlebar and the gear ratio is changed to any ratio within its range. This is easy to do, no matter if you are freewheeling, pedaling, or waiting at a stoplight.

Powering the Gazelle Ultimate C380 HMB is the new award-winning Gen 3 Bosch Performance series motor that produces an amazing 65Nm of torque which will offer riders a perfect balance between power and range. Energy to the motor is provided by the Bosch Powertube 500 lithium-ion battery that will allow riders to ride 100 km (62 miles) between recharges.
The Gazelle Ultimate C380 HMB combines a sporty urban bike and a comfortable touring bike into one versatile and delightful package. The beautifully-shaped ultra-strong aluminum frame, with graceful lines and an integrated battery, ensures stable handling. My Gazelle electric bike is the next best thing to sliced bread. Instead of decreasing exercise, it makes me ride a lot more than I would with my Bertrand. What is more important Watts or Torque when buying an eBike?
Watts is a very poor way of measuring how powerful an eBike motor is. A high wattage motor that is inefficient will give the rider less power at the wheel than a more efficient motor that has a lower wattage rating.
Remember when you used to buy 60, 80, and 100-watt light bulbs? Then LED light bulbs came out and suddenly they are now rated at 5-10 watts. These new technologically advanced lightbulbs are much more efficient than the old-style lightbulbs. They are now 6 to 10 times more energy efficient and in many cases produce more light output.
So as you can see Watts are simply the measure of how much electrical charge is flowing and is not related to the product's actual performance.
Torque is HUGE and is incredibly important with e-bikes as it is the most accurate way to measure the power around the wheel or the crank. More torque = easier to pedal.
Newton Meters (Nm) is the units of measure used for torque, the higher the Nm number, typically the more assist your eBike will give you.
Now don't be fooled by high Nm ratings from some manufacturers as you always want to know the actual continuous torque (what you can get for an extended period of time) and not the peak torque rating(something you will feel for a fraction of a second only).

How long will it take to get my electric bike once I order it.
It really depends on where you are located. Generally it takes us 1-3 business days to assemble, test and pack your bike. Once your order ships it will typically take 1-7 business days to arrive depending on your location. A delivery tracking number will be provided to you in your confirmation email.

Do your electric bikes go faster than 32 Kph (20Mph)?
The short answer is no. All of our electric bicycles are 100% compliant with Canadian legal regulations which states that all electric bicycles must not exceed 32Kph (20Mph) under electric assist.
It is illegal to use an electric bicycle that exceeds this speed on public roads and a rider can be criminally charged by doing so.
Do you ship electric bikes outside of Canada?
Yes we can ship our electric bicycles to some countries outside of Canada. Depending on the Brand we may have some restrictions as to whether we can.

What are the benefits of purchasing an eBike equipped with an eBike System certified to UL 2849?
▶ Certified products mean all applicable requirements of the relevant safety standards are met.
▶ The certification provides an unbiased safety assurance that eBike systems comply with rigorous testing protocols to prevent safety hazards.
▶ The compliance is ensured by third party field reps conducting periodic, unannounced on-site inspections of certified products at the manufacturing locations worldwide.
▶ All chargers are certified to UL 1012 & CSA 107.2.

Why is there a UL safety standard for eBike systems?
▶ The battery, charger, drive unit and display make a complex electrical system. Therefore a standard has been developed to test for electrical and fire safety: UL 2849. This gives consumers the confidence that their product is safe.
▶ It is important that the entire eBike system is certified and not just the battery. When factoring safety in your purchasing decision ask for confirmation that the complete system is certified to UL 2849. A Certification logo for our complete eBike Systems can be found on our battery packs.
Why don't all brands have a UL or CSA certification?
This can be due to several factors but the typical reason is simply cost for these brands. As this would require that they change many aspects of the build quality and design of their products in order to comply.
Having a a complete system is more than just a battery charger. It includes the battery, displays, motor and cables as well.
